Remove the hood.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Wear goggles, gloves, protective clothing, and a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approved P95 or N95 half-face respirator when handling a used Diesel Particulate Filter or Catalytic Converter Muffler. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.

Disconnect tube assembly (1) and remove temperature (2).

Disconnect band clamp (4) from inlet module (catalyst) (3).

Disconnect mounting strap assembly (6) from inlet module (catalyst) (3).
Loosen clamp (5) and remove inlet module (catalyst) (3).Installation Procedure
Note: When installing a new inlet module (catalyst) or a cleaned inlet module (catalyst), a DOC reset must be performed. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS8180, "Aftertreatment Filter Maintenance on Tier 4 Final Products Equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), and a Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) Filter" for the correct procedure.Note: Do not use power tools in order to torque band clamp (4), clamp (5), and mounting strap assembly (6).
Install inlet module (catalyst) (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten clamp (5) to a torque of 60 5 N m (44 4 lb ft).
Tighten mounting strap assembly (6) to a torque of 15 + 3 - 0 N m (133 + 27 - 0 lb in).

Align band clamp (4) between Bump Features and or Paint Features (Z) as.
Torque band clamp (4) to a torque of 35 2 N m (26 1 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of temperature sensor (2). Tighten temperature sensor (2) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).
