Information:

1. Slowly, and carefully, loosen fitting (1) on each tensioner cylinder to vent any pressure trapped in the belt tensioner cylinders before completely disconnecting the hose fittings from the belt tensioner cylinders. Disconnect fitting (1) from each belt tensioner cylinder. 2. Connect tooling (A) to oil lines (1) of each belt tensioner cylinder and to the No. 1 Raise implement quick disconnect coupler at the rear of the machine. If the tractor is not operable, an alternate hydraulic source must be used. Slip hoses (2) over the fittings in the tensioner cylinders to direct the overflow oil down and away when pressurizing the tensioner cylinders.
Typical Example3. Position a floor jack under the belt tensioner cylinder as shown. 4. Remove bolt, washer, and spacer (5).
Do not exceed a maximum pressure of 11,000 kPa (1,600 psi) when pressurizing the belt tensioner cylinders. When pressurizing the belt tensioner cylinders, extend the cylinders only far enough to install the lock assembly.
5. Use implement hydraulics to pressurize the belt tensioner cylinders. Position lock assembly (3) over the opposite belt tensioner cylinder as shown and secure with the bolts provided. This will lock the belt tensioner cylinder in position and allow the removal of the other belt tensioner cylinder.6. Use implement hydraulics to pressurize the belt tensioner cylinder and release the belt tension until pin (4) can be removed. Remove pin (4).7. Vent the hydraulic pressure from the belt tensioner cylinders allowing them to retract. Disconnect tooling (A) from the belt tensioner cylinder being removed.
Typical Example8. Remove bolt, washer, and spacer (7). Remove pin (6), and lower the belt tensioner cylinder from the tractor. The weight of the belt tensioner cylinder is 350 kg (770 lb). If the other tensioner cylinder is to be removed, cap the open line from tooling (A). This will allow the other belt tensioner cylinder to be pressurized independently.9. Use implement hydraulics to pressurize the belt tensioner cylinder and remove lock assembly (3).10. To remove the other belt tensioner cylinder repeat steps 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8. 11. If necessary, remove bearings (8) from the frame. The following steps are for installation of the belt tensioner cylinders.12. Install bearing (8) in the frame, if it was necessary to remove it. If both belt tensioner cylinders were removed follow steps 13 through 18 for the installation. If not, proceed to step 19.13. Use a floor jack to position the belt tensioner cylinder, and install pin (6). Install spacer, washer, and bolt (7).14. Install the oil line from the belt tensioner cylinder to tooling (A). Cap the open oil line on tooling (A). This will allow only one belt tensioner cylinder to be pressurized.15. Use implement hydraulics and tooling (A) to pressurize the belt tensioner cylinder. Extend the cylinder rod until pin (4) can be installed. Install pin (4).16. Pressurized that belt tensioner cylinder and install lock assembly (3) over the cylinder rod. This will lock the belt tensioner cylinder in position and allow the installation of the other
