0.08 0.05 mm (0.003 0.002 inch) will ensure the metal to metal clamp - up between the hub and the retainer during assembly.    
E     -     -     Gap of
0.08 0.05 mm (0.003 0.002 inch) will ensure the metal to metal clamp - up between the shaft and the cover. Check this gap before bolting the covers to the shaft. After the covers are bolted, make sure that the gears can turn freely. Drive the covers toward the carrier with the proper tooling If the gears cannot turn freely.
