On some models, the final adjustment of the new sender assembly must be done with the sender partially inserted through the hole in the fuel tank.
For correct assembly of the new sender assembly, follow the Special Instruction. Although the dimensions do not differ greatly between models, the correct lengths are necessary to get the same performance as the original fuel level sender assembly.
