ACTION REQUIRED
Replace existing valve lash adjusting screws with new adjusting screws of the same part number, and reset valve lash settings.
Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rocker Shaft - Disassemble" and "Rocker Shaft - Assemble" for the adjusting screws. Adjust the valve lash according to KENR5397, Testing and Adjusting, "Valve Lash - Adjust".
The following steps should be taken in the event of an after failure repair.
1. Inspect camshaft lobes
2. Inspect lifter assembly
3. Inspect push rod
4. Inspect rocker arm assembly
5. Inspect engine block
6. Flush as needed
