Remove the turbocharger.
Remove the electronic control module.
Personal injury can result from hot coolant, steam and alkali.At operating temperature, engine coolant is hot and under pressure. The radiator and all lines to heaters or the engine contain hot coolant or steam. Any contact can cause severe burns.Remove cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure only when engine is stopped and cooling system pressure cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not attempt to tighten hose connections when the coolant is hot, the hose can come off causing burns.Cooling System Coolant Additive contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses and all tubes. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this will help to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Disconnect tube assembly (1) from the exhaust manifold.
Remove the spark plug wires.
Remove bolts (2) that hold transformers (3) in place.
Remove transformers (3) and the harness assemblies as a unit.

Disconnect tube assembly (4).
Loosen the clamp assembly and disconnect hose (5).
Remove the bolts that hold tube assembly (6) in place. Remove tube assembly (6), the spacer, the gasket, and the O-ring seal from the exhaust manifold.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to exhaust manifold (7). The weight of exhaust manifold (7) is approximately 29 kg (65 lb).
Remove bolts (8), exhaust manifold (7), and the gaskets.
