Heating Fan Speed Switch
Heating Fan Speed Switch - This switch controls the heating three speed blower fan motor. OFF (1) - Move the switch to this position to stop the blower fan. Heater - Move the switch to the right to operate the heating system. Low Speed (2) - Move the switch to this position to operate the heater at low fan speed. Medium Speed (3) - Move the switch to this position to operate the heater at medium fan speed. High Speed (4) - Move the switch to this position to operate the heater at high fan speed.Heating System Operation
The heating system perform the following function: Heating - Turn the blower fan switch to Low, Medium or High speed. Adjust the temperature variable control for the desired temperature.Defrost Fans (If Equipped)
Front Defrost Fan (1) - Move the switch to the center position for Low speed fan. Move the switch to the top position for High speed fan. The bottom position is OFF. Rear Defrost Fan (2) - Move the switch to the center position for Low speed fan. Move the switch to the top position for High speed fan. The bottom position is OFF.Seat
Adjust the seat at the beginning of each shift or when changing operators.Adjust the seat to allow full travel of the pedals when the operator is seated against the seat back.Seat Adjustment - Static (Standard)
Move the fore-aft lever (1) to the left or to the right. Move the seat forward or backward to the desired position. Release the level to lock the seat in place.Loosen the four mounting bolts (2) to adjust the seat height. Move the seat to the rear, raise or lower the seat to the desired height. Move the seat forward and tighten the four mounting bolts (2).Seat Adjustment - Static (If Equipped)
Push down on the fore-aft lever (1), to move the seat forward or back to the desired position. Release the lever to lock the seat in place.Pull up the seat height lever (2), to move the seat up or down to the desired position. Release the lever to lock the seat in place.Seat Belt (Standard)
This machine as shipped from Caterpillar was equipped with a seat belt and seat belt installation which meets, at the time of installation, SAE J386 June 1985 for an industrial machine, and SAE J386 June 1993. See your Caterpillar dealer for all replacement parts. Always check the condition of the seat belt and mounting hardware before operating the machine.Replace the seat belt at least once every three years, regardless of appearance. A date label, to determine the age of the belt, is sewn onto each belt. Inspect for worn or frayed webbing.Check for worn or damaged buckle. Replace the belt and buckle if they are worn or damaged. Inspect the belt mounting hardware. Replace any damaged or worn hardware. Keep the mounting bolts tight.Seat Belt Adjustment
Adjust both ends of the belt. The belt should be snug but comfortable.To Lengthen the Belt
