Attach.(1-Rework Procedure)Rework Procedure
1. Remove the 6I7399 Plate from the bottom of the swivel. Save the bolts and washers for later use.2. Remove the 6E6264 Cover from the bottom of the swivel and save cover. (See Illustration 1.)3. Remove and discard three bolts and 1164195 Retainer as shown in Illustration 1. 4. Measure the thickness of the 1303367 Retainer.5. Install the 1303368 Retainer, first 1304738 Race, 1304737 Bearing, second 1304738 Race and 1303367 Retainer. Secure with 3 - 8T4176 Bolts and tighten to a torque of 105 10 N m (75 7 lb ft). See Illustration 2.6. Use a depth micrometer to measure in the center hole in the retainer to the end of the rotor. If this distance is more than the thickness of the retainer, check the gap between the outer housing and the flange at the top of the rotor. It must be less than 0.15 mm (.006 in) or something is binding in the assembly and it must be fully disassembled.7. Subtract the thickness of the retainer from the depth micrometer reading and add enough 1373894 Shims to assure that the thickness of the shims and the retainer are 0.15 mm (.006 in) to 0.50 mm (.020 in) greater than the depth micrometer reading.8. Remove the parts installed in step 5 and reassemble using the 0951728 Seal, with the shims placed between the retainer and the end of the rotor. Check the gap between the outer housing and the flange at the top of the rotor. It must be between .015 mm (.006 in) and 0.050 mm (.020 in). If not, redo steps 4 through 8.9.
