Raise the temperature of bearing cone (20) . Install bearing cone (20) on pinion (14) .

Lower the temperature of bearing cup (18) . Use Tooling (F) in order to install the bearing cup (18) into the carrier.

Lower the temperature of bearing cup (15) . Use Tooling (F) in order to install bearing cup (15) in retainer (13) . Install O-ring seal (16) to retainer (13) .

Use Tooling (F) in order to install lip seal (17) .

Install pinion (14) . End play must be set for the pinion. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Differential and Bevel Gear - Adjust" for proper installation of retainer (13) and shims.

Install bearing cup (9) and cage (8) to the carrier.

Install Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device on differential (6) . Install differential (6) . The weight of differential (6) is approximately 82 kg (180 lb).

Install Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to cover (4) . Install cover (4) . The weight of cover (4) is approximately 32 kg (70 lb).
