Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the rear axle.
Use a suitable lifting device to position the oscillating axle onto suitable cribbing. The weight of the oscillating axle is approximately 1148 kg (2530 lb).

Remove bolts (2), cover (1), and thrust washer (3).

Remove bolts (4), plate (5), and use two people to remove trunnion (6). The weight of trunnion (6) is approximately 30 kg (66 lb).

Remove bearing (7) and lip seal (8) from trunnion (6).

Remove bolt (10) and yoke assembly (9).

Use two people to remove trunnion assembly (11). The weight of trunnion (11) is approximately 30 kg (66 lb).

Remove lip seals (12) and (14) from trunnion (11).
Remove bearing (13) from trunnion (11).Installation Procedure
Install the rear axle supports in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolt (10) to a torque of 120 20 N m (89 15 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 570 80 N m (420 59 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 300 40 N m (221 30 lb ft).
