The following instructions are for the rework procedure for installing 328-1559 Plate to the hydraulic tank.Weld Materials
The welding process will use the following material:
.035-.045 wire type for MIG weld (solid core)
Stick electrode E7018 3/32-1/8
Flux cored wire, small wire that is dual shield and all positionNote: These materials must adhere to common practices of the American Welding Society .
Remove the hydraulic tank.Follow the instructions located in the following Disassembly and Assembly guidelines. Remove the main hydraulic tank from the machine and properly cover all hoses, lines and tank ports in order to prevent contamination of the hydraulic fluid.

(A) Main hydraulic tank (1) 114-5001 Plate
Place the hydraulic tank on a level surface with 114-5001 Plate (1) facing to the side and the ports of tank (A) facing upward.
Remove all paint, oil, grease, and dirt from the weldment of Plate (1) and the area that surrounds the plate.

(B) Make sure that the radius is flush to the tank (A) before welding 328-1559 Plate . (2) 328-1559 Plate
Place 328-1559 Plate (2) to the inside of Plate (1) so that the contour of Plate (2) follows the contour of tank (A) .
Trim plate (2) to the contour of tank (A) and clear the existing weld. Maintain a flush fit to tank (A) and to the contour of tank (A) .

(C) Tack weld plate (2) in place. (D) Begin the fillet weld on the inside seam of the plate.
Place Plate (2) to tank (A). Apply two 6 mm (0.2 inch) tack welds on each of the three sides of plate (A) .
Apply a butt weld 6 mm (0.24 inch) to 8 mm (0.3 inch) between Plate (2) and Plate (1). This may require multiple passes to complete depending on the process that is being used. keep starts and stops to a minimum. Apply a flush weld to the top of Plate (2). Taper the weld to the end of the seam on plate (2) .
Apply a 6 mm (0.2 inch) fillet weld to the three seams that are on the outside of
