Disconnect wires (11) from the alternator.
Remove the cable straps that fasten harness assembly (7) to the engine.

Disconnect cable assembly (12) from the electric starting motor.
Remove clamp (13) that fastens cable assembly (12) to the bracket.

Remove nut (15). Remove cover (14) from the electric starting motor.

Remove nut (17). Disconnect wire (16) from the electric starting motor.

Remove the nut and remove ground strap (18) and cable assembly (19) from the frame.

Remove the two wires from resistor (20). Remove the cable straps that fasten harness assembly (7) to the bracket.
Remove the bolt that fastens clamp (21) and harness assembly (7) to the support.

Remove the cable strap that fastens harness assembly (7) to bracket (22) .
Remove bolts (23) that fasten plate (24) to the engine.
Remove the cable straps that fasten harness assembly (7) to the engine.

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to engine (25), as shown.

Remove bolts (26) from both sides of the engine.

Raise the engine. Remove nuts (27) and remove support (28) from both sides of the engine.

Attach Tooling (C) to the operator platform, as shown. Use a lifting sling and Tooling (C) to support propel pump (29) .

Remove bolts (30) that fasten the propel pump to the engine.

Be sure that harness assembly (7) is out of the way.
Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device in order to move the engine toward the rear of the machine until the splines on the propel pump are removed from the flange of the pump drive. Remove engine (25) from the machine. The weight of the engine is approximately 470 kg (1036 lb).
