Instrument Panel (1) Fault indicator (2) Water level gauge (3) Water spray indicator (4) Intermittent spray control dial (5) Water spray pump select switchIntermittent spray control dial (4) and the water spray pump select switch (5) are located on the lower left side of the instrument panel. Water spray indicator (3) is on the upper left side of the instrument panel. The machine ECM illuminates this indicator when the water spray system is on.Water level gauge (2) is located on the right side of the instrument panel. The gauge indicates the amount of water in the water tank. The gauge receives a signal from the water level sender in the water tank.Intermittent spray control dial (4) is connected to the intermittent spray potentiometer. The potentiometer provides an input signal to terminal "11" of the propel lever. The propel lever sends the position information to the machine ECM through the CAN bus. The machine ECM monitors the position of the potentiometer in order to control the time intervals of the water spray system.The propel lever supplies power and ground to the intermittent spray potentiometer. Contact "A" of the intermittent spray potentiometer receives power from terminal "8" of the propel lever. Contact "B" of the intermittent spray potentiometer is grounded by terminal "7" of the propel lever.When intermittent spray control dial (4) is in the center of the travel range, the water system is cycled ON for 20 seconds and cycled OFF for 20 seconds. As the dial is rotated counterclockwise from center, the time ON decreases and time OFF increases on a 40 second interval. At the end of the dial's counterclockwise rotation, the water spray system does not operate. As the dial is rotated clockwise from the center position, the time ON increases and the time OFF decreases. At the end of the dial's clockwise rotation, the water spray system is continuously ON.Two water pumps supply water to the water spray system in parallel. When only the upper spray bars are enabled, one pump supplies water to the system. When only the lower spray bars are enabled, one pump supplies water to the system. When both the upper spray bars and lower spray bars are enabled, both pumps operate in order to supply adequate flow to the water spray system. When only one pump is needed, water spray pump select switch (5) determines which pump will operate.Water spray pump select switch (5) is a rocker switch with three positions. Water spray pump select switch (5) allows the operator to choose which water spray pump to use. The right position is the PUMP ONE position. The center position is the AUTOMATIC position. The left position is the PUMP TWO position.When water spray pump select switch (5) is in the AUTOMATIC position and one set of spray bars is enabled, the number one pump operates while the machine is traveling forward and the number two pump operates while the machine is traveling in reverse.
