Regulation Of The Engine Speed
The controller processes the input from the engine speed dial. A signal is then sent from the controller to the governor actuator. This signal causes the actuator to move the governor lever. The controller moves the governor lever until the signal from the governor feedback sensor informs the controller that the governor lever is in the correct position for the proper operation of the engine at the desired speed. Control Of The Governor Lever By The Engine Speed
During normal conditions, the controller obtains the correct engine speed by moving the governor actuator to a predetermined position according to the signal from the governor actuator feedback sensor. If a problem occurs in the feedback sensor and/or the circuits of the sensor and no demand for hydraulics is made, the controller will use the signal from the engine speed sensor. The controller will move the governor actuator until the engine speed is close to the selected engine speed that was set by using the engine speed dial. After the position of the engine speed dial is changed, there may be a five to ten second delay before the new engine speed is obtained by the controller. When the engine speed is controlled in this way, the AEC and the functions of one touch low idle are overridden. When the controller is operating in this way, the monitor will display the "L" and the "A" in the first character position and third character position.Control Of Pump Output
Under normal temperatures of the hydraulic oil, the pump is regulated by the target engine speed. When the hydraulic oil cannot reach a certain temperature level, the controller will operate so that the regulation of the pump is performed by a certain constant power shift pressure. The power shift pressure will perform the regulation of the pump instead of the target engine speed. The pump output by this constant power shift pressure is reduced two to ten percent. This could result in sluggish machine operation. Under constant control of the power shift pressure, control of the pump summation does not function.
