A new grease fitting is available for use on certain C7 Industrial Engines operating in extreme environmental conditions. This new grease fitting is to be used with the Cat Desert Gold Grease in these conditions. Refer to the procedure below in order to install the new grease fitting.Grease Fitting Installation

(1) 8T-6764 Pipe Plug
Remove pipe plug (1) from the fan drive assembly.
Replace the plug with either a 3H-0122 Grease Fitting (Straight) or a 3B-8485 Grease Fitting (45 degree) .Note: A 234-2041 Hose As can be attached if necessary. But, the hose assembly is not required.
Fill the fan drive bearing using a 129-1938 Grease Cartridge. If more grease is needed, refer to Table 1 for the various sizes that are available.
