Component Code 7308SUBJECT: LEFT DOOR LATCH HOLD OPEN CABLE ADJUSTMENT
PROBLEM:
The left door latch cable 189-5630 may fail on certain 950G/962G/966G/972G/980G series II Wheel Loaders.
SOLUTION:
The solution will be applied in two phases. The spring location on the lever has to be revised and the cable tension has to be adjusted.
1) The spring attached to the lever assembly 193-8113 has to be attached to the opposite side of the plate like it?s showed on the below pictures.
2) Adjust the cable following the below procedure. Lever angle has to be respected in order to avoid cable overload during door release and to avoid cable breakage.

3) Adjust the jam nuts on the latch end of the release cable until the release lever is angled downward approximately 5 degrees from the horizontal position and the jam nuts on the lever end are centered vertically on the threaded portion of the steel conduit.

4) Continue to adjust the jam nuts on the release lever end of the cable until the left hand door consistently engages and disengages in the hold-open position. The angle of the release lever from the horizonal position should not exceed 30/35 degrees.
