Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Use Tool (A) to install seals (9), if necessary. Ensure that the lip of the seal is toward the inside of the housing.

If the water temperature regulator is installed incorrectly, it will cause the engine to overheat.
Install four water temperature regulators (8) with the spring upward.

Install a new gasket and position water temperature regulator housing (6) on the engine. Install bolts (7).

Put a new gasket (10) in position and install the four bolts that fasten pipe (5) to water temperature regulator housing (6).

Install O-ring seal (11) on tube (12). Put gasket (13) on the water temperature regulator housing.
Install elbow (2). Install line (1) on elbow (2).
Install the two retainers that fasten tube (12) to elbow (2).
Fill the cooling with coolant to the correct level. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
