Remove the axle shafts.
Remove the drive shaft.
Remove the axle support brackets.

Disconnect tube assembly (1).

Remove two bolts (3). Use suitable cribbing and two bolts (3) to attach Tooling (A) to pinion housing (2).

Tooling has been removed from the photo for photographic clarity.

Remove all bolts (5). Install bolts (5) in holes (6). Use bolts (5) to separate differential case (4) from axle (7).
Use Tooling (A) to remove differential case (4). Installation Procedure
Install differential case (4) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (B) to the mating surfaces of differential case (4) and axle (7).
Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 125 25 N m (92 18 lb ft) in an alternating star pattern in order to draw in the parts evenly.
Retighten bolts (5) to a torque of 300 25 N m (221 18 lb ft).
