Steering Wheel
Allows the operator to control the steering of the machine. Rotating the steering wheel in a counterclockwise direction steers the machine to the left. Rotating the wheel in a clockwise direction turns the machine to the right.Propel Control Lever
Forward 1. - To move the machine forward, slowly push the propel lever forward away from center. The farther forward the lever is pushed the faster the machine will travel. Reverse 2. - To move the machine backward, slowly pull the propel lever back away from center. The farther back the lever is pulled the faster the machine will travel.3. To stop the machine move the propulsion control lever to the stop position. This procedure should always be used as the primary method of stopping the machine.Throttle Control Lever
Engine governor high idle has been set to run at 2450 to 2600 rpm. This idle speed is necessary for optimum vibratory efficiency and should not be raised or lowered.
1. To start the machine, move the throttle control lever to approximately one third throttle.2. To place the engine in low idle pull all the way back on the throttle control lever.3. To operate the machine, push the throttle control lever all the way forward. The engine should always be run at full throttle during machine operation.Speed Range Shift Switch
Stop machine to shift speed ranges. Do not change speed ranges while the machine is moving.
1. Moving the speed range shift switch to the right places the machine in LOW or working range. This reduces the overall machine speed, allowing the operator increased control.2. Moving the shift switch to the left places the machine in HIGH or road range. This increases the overall machine speed and is used to move the machine from one job to another.
