Remove the coupler cylinder.
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

Remove relief valve (1) .
Use Tooling (A) to remove head assembly (2). Remove rod assembly (3), head assembly (2), and the piston from the cylinder assembly.

Remove seal (8), backup ring (7),seal (6), backup ring (5), and seal (4) from piston (9) .
Use Tooling (B) to remove piston (9) fromrod assembly (3) .
Remove head assembly (2) from rod assembly (3) .

Remove backup rings (11) and O-ring seal (10) from piston (9) .

Remove O-ring seal (12), backup ring (13), and O-ring seal (14) from head assembly (2) .
