Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Adjustment - Adjust" in order to adjust the tension of the track assembly. Note: The following procedure is identical for any of the track carrier rollers. The procedure that follows is for one of the track carrier rollers.

Personal injury or death can result from grease and oil coming out of the relief valve.Grease and oil are under high pressure coming out of the relief valve and can penetrate the body.Do not watch the relief valve to see if grease is escaping. Watch the track or track adjustment cylinder to see if the track is being loosened. Make sure the vent holes are clean before the tension is released on the track.
Release the tension on the track assembly. Slowly loosen relief valve (1) for the track adjuster. Do not loosen the relief valve more than one turn. Note: If the track assembly does not loosen, rotate the track forward and backward until the track tension is released.

Use Tooling (A) in order to lift the track assembly. Adjust Tooling (B) so that there is enough clearance between the track assembly and the track carrier roller. Remove Tooling (A).

Use Tooling (C) in order to loosen bolt (1).

Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove track carrier roller (2). The weight of track carrier roller (2) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb). Installation Procedure
Install track carrier roller (2) in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure that the shaft of the track carrier roller and the bore in the mounting bracket are clean and free of dirt.

300-4611 Track Carrier Roller (2) must be adjusted to Length (X). Length (X) is 20 mm (0.79 inch).
Use Tooling (C) in order to tighten bolt (1) to a torque of 1000 125 N m (740 90 lb ft).
