Position Tooling (A) under ripper frame assembly (1) .
Position Tooling (A) under beam assembly (2). Lower ripper frame assembly (1) on Tooling (A) and lower beam assembly (2) onto Tooling (A) .

Fasten a suitable lifting device to ripper tilt cylinder (3). The weight of ripper tilt cylinder (3) is approximately 273 kg (600 lb).
Fasten a suitable lifting device to pin assembly (4). Remove bolts (5) and plate (6). Remove pin assembly (4) and disconnect the rod end of the ripper tilt cylinder. The weight of pin assembly (4) is approximately 25 kg (56 lb).
Start the machine.
Retract the cylinder rod.
Release the hydraulic system pressure.

Disconnect hose assembly (7) from ripper tilt cylinder (3) .

Remove clamps (8). Disconnect hose assembly (9) .
Remove bolt (12), spacers (11) and (10), and pin (13). Remove ripper tilt cylinder (3) .Installation Procedure
Install ripper tilt cylinder (3) in the reverse order of removal.Disassembly and Assembly Information

Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

(1) Lubricate the seals with the lubricant that is being sealed. (2) Apply Tooling (D) to the seal groove prior to assembly. (3) Apply Tooling (E) to the threads and tighten the nut to a torque of 8000 800 N m (5900 590 lb ft).
