Remove impact tip (1) .
Replace impact tip (1) and flex pin (2). Install flex pin (2) with the word BACK toward the bucket.Note: If the impact tip is changed, do not reuse the 195-7200 Flex Pin (2) .Welding Tips to the Bucket
Weld Preparation
Use one of the following welding rods: E7018 welding rod and E71T-1 (all position) flux cored wire with hydrogen control and with CO2 gas shielding. Store welding rods in a oven at a temperature of 120 °C (248 °F). Recondition the exposed supply of welding rods by heating for two hours at 260 °C (500 °F).Note: The use of E70T-5 flux cored wire with CO2 gas shielding is permitted. Perform the welding on the horizontal.Note: Remove enough welding rod for one hour of use. The high water content in electrodes may cause welds to crack.
Do not torch or weld on painted areas. The effect of gasses from burned paint is a danger to the person doing the cutting or welding.
Grind all welds smooth on the base edge and on the adapters.
Use a wire brush in order to remove all contaminants. Remove the following items from the surface of the metal: Paint, rust, grease and dirt.Note: Welds of poor quality can be caused by paint or by dirt. Welds of poor quality have the following results: hydrogen embrittlement of the weld, porosity and lack of fusion.Use high speed disc sander instead of a grinder. Grinding on a cold, heat treated steel with a grinding wheel can generate hot spots. Hot spots are indicated by a color that is blue and black or by a brown color. Rapid cooling after grinding creates surface cracks.
Do not perform the following operations until the area is at room temperature: gouging, flame cutting, grinding and welding.
Do not use shielded metal arc welding in areas that are windy. Do not use shielded metal arc welding in areas with fans. Poor welds can occur due to excessive cooling.Procedure to Preheat

Align the corner adapter 91.5 degrees from the edge.
Preheating to 24° 14°C (75° 25°F), other than to remove moisture is not necessary on the adapters or the base edges if the cutting edge is 25 mm (1 inch) or less.Do not preheat or weld on any portion of the base edge or adapters until all components are at room tempeature.Do not preheat the entire length of the base edge already welded to a bucket. Expansion of the base edge in a restrained condition can cause cracks high stresses and weld joint cracking.
Verify the position of the corner adapters to the bucket. See Illustration 4.
Equally space the adapters across the base edge.Note: To prevent losing hardness, do not exceed temperatures of 315 °C (600 °F).General Welding Procedure
The ground cable should be firmly attached to the base edge. Do not attach the ground cable to the adapters.
The fusion of the weld between the adapter and base edge is extremely critical. Incomplete fusion of the weld will
