Availability
The redesigned track shoes were available in the Parts system as follows:

New track shoe part numbers available approximately October 2000,
q
Track shoes retaining their current part numbers available approximately April 2001.
Servicing
The new and old track shoes are interchangeable and can be mixed on machines in the field.
Custom Track Service (CTS)
Part of CTS for track shoes should include inspection for shoe leading and trailing edge wear, and indications of shoe crossing (See Illustration A). This is most prevalent in high abrasive underfoot conditions. Shoes positioned over the idlers or sprocket can best identify shoe crossing.
