SMS Bypass Cabinet (1) GSM Circuit BreakerThe Genset Module Start Option adds the following breakers to the Bypass cabinet:
one breaker
two breakers (K6 and K7)The breakers are located on the front panel at the bottom of the cabinet behind the door. Refer to Illustration 1 for the location. The GSM Start Option allows the UPS to control generators in cases of lost utility power. Also, the GSM Start Option allows the UPS to start the external Genset if power is lost.Refer to the following list of characteristics for the circuit breakers:

Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR9988, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (SMS Bypass Cabinet)" in order to shut down the system and gain access to internal components.
Disconnect the six wires that lead to the circuit breaker (1) and from the circuit breaker (1). Verify the labeling on the cables for subsequent installation.
Remove the four screws on the front of the breaker (1) that secure the breaker (1) to the rear of the cabinet.Installation Procedure

Attach the GSM Circuit Breaker (1) to the panel of the cabinet with four screws. Refer to Illustration 2.

Wire Connections for the GSM
Connect the wires from the cable landing and the Genset. Verify the labeling of the wires with the location of the wires. Refer to Illustration 3 for wire connections.
