Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin.
Note: The differential and the final drives share a common oil reservoir. However, the oil level of the final drive housings should be checked as well.Differential for the Tractor
Illustration 1 g01157023Oil level gauge (2) and oil filler cap (1) for the differential are located at the left rear of the tractor.
Park the machine on level ground. Engage the parking brake.
Lower the bowl to the ground. Shut off the engine.
Clean the area around oil level gauge (2) and oil filler cap (1).
Maintain the oil level between the "FULL" mark and the "ADD" mark on the oil level gauge.
If necessary, remove oil filler cap (1) in order to add oil.
Clean the oil filler cap and install the oil filler cap. Differential for the Scraper

Park the machine on level ground. Engage the parking brake.
Lower the bowl to the ground. Shut off the engine.
Clean the area around oil level gauge (3) and oil filler cap (4).
Maintain the oil level between the "FULL" mark and the "ADD" mark on the oil level gauge.
If necessary, remove oil filler cap (4) in order to add oil.
Clean the oil filler cap and install the oil filler cap. Final Drives

Final drive drain plug (6) must be located at the lowest point. Refer to Illustration 3.
Clean the area around final drive filler plug (5). Remove the final drive filler plug.
Oil should drip out of the filler plug hole when the final drive is full of oil. If necessary, add oil through the filler plug hole. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" and Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for further information.
Clean the final drive filler plug. Install the final drive filler plug.
Repeat this procedure for the other wheels.
