When the payload weight reaches 95% or more of the target weight, the red external load lamps and the red LED (7) on the POD will come on continuously. This is a signal to the loader operator that loading is complete.Last Pass Indicator
If desired, the TPMS can be set-up with a "last-pass indicator". For more information on setting up the "last-pass indicator" See Topic Truck Payload Measurement System Manual SENR4733.With this option active the TPMS calculates the average weight of the loader bucket loads and determines when one more bucket load will make at least 95% the target weight.If the current weight plus the last pass weight is greater than 95%, the TPMS will not average the bucket loads. At this time the red external indicator lamps (8) will FLASH indicating to the loader operator that the next loader pass will be the last. The last-pass indicator will only work correctly in loading applications that require at least THREE loader passes after the truck has stopped for loading. If the first loader pass is used to spot the truck then a minimum of four loader passes are necessary for the last-pass indicator to work correctly.The weighing process completes when the truck leaves the loading site. The external lamps go off and the final payload weight is held on the POD.The load cycle is restarted when the load is dumped (the dump lever is in the dump position).TPMS Accuracy
The displayed and recorded weights of the TPMS will be accurate to 5% on 95% of the payloads. There are some conditions that could affect the accuracy of the TPMS weighing process. Some of these conditions are:1. Loading on a surface that has a slope greater than 5%. 2. A suspension cylinder that is not properly charged. Refer to the strut charging procedure in the service Manual for correct charging. 3. Pressing down (tapping) on top of the last load dumped with the loader bucket.4. Moving the truck in any direction more than 0.16 km (.1 miles) between bucket loads while loading. 5. Actuating the bed raise lever during loading or not having the bed raise lever in the float position.6. Failure to calibrate the TPMS after components are replaced or substantial changes are made to the empty weight of the truck, such as adding wear plates to the body.7. Loading from a conveyor or a continuous-feed system.8. A truck leaving the loading site before cylinder pressures have stabilized and the final weight has been displayed.9. A critical fault has been detected by the TPMS resulting in a fault code constantly being displayed on the POD. When a critical fault is detected in the system recorded weights may not be accurate.Major changes, such as the addition of wear plates to the body, will require the TPMS to be re-calibrated.Cycle Data
