Information:
Do not disconnect any air lines from the parking brake control valve until the air pressure is zero.
2. Remove the cotter pin and pin (4) from linkage (6). Move the linkage free of the handle. Remove bolts (3) and retainer (2) from the cover. Remove bolts (5) and cover (1). 3. Remove bolts (13) that hold plate (10). Let plate (10) hang by spring (9).4. Disconnect air lines (11). Remove boot (12) and nut (8).5. Remove parking brake control valve (7).Install Parking Brake Control Valve
1. Put parking brake control valve (3) in position on bracket (1). Install the nut that holds it. Install the boot on the valve. Put plate (2) in position on the bracket. Install the bolts that hold it.2. Make an adjustment to the valve location on bracket (1) to get .03 in. (0.8 mm) clearance between the valve and plate (2) with the safety lever in the "PARK" position.3. Connect two air lines (4) to their correct location on valve (3). 4. Put cover (7) in position on the bracket. Install the bolts that hold it.5. Put retainer (5) in position on the cover. Install the bolts that hold it.6. Put linkage (6) in position on the handle. Install the pin that holds it. Install the cotter pin.Disassemble Parking Brake Control Valve
start by: a) remove parking brake control valve 1. Remove plug (1) from body (5).2. Remove spring (4) and valve (2) from the body.3. Remove adapter (6) from body (5). Remove the nut from the adapter.4. Remove stem (3) from adapter (6).5. Remove the O-ring seals from the valve and the stem.Assemble Parking Brake Control Valve
1. Install new O-ring seals on the valve and the stem. 2. Install stem (1) in adapter (2).3. Install adapter (2) on body (3). Install the nut on the adapter.4. Put valve (4) in position in the body.5. Put spring (5) in position on the valve in body (3).6. Install plug (6) in body (3).end by: a) install parking brake control valve
