Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

Open hood (1).

Loosen clamp (3) and remove pipe (2).

Remove bolt (4) and reposition harness assembly (5).
Loosen clamp (6) from exhaust pipe (7).Note: Do not reuse clamp (6).

Attach a suitable lifting device to muffler assembly (10). The weight of muffler assembly (10) is approximately 40 kg (88 lb).
Remove two bolts (8), two bolts (9), two bolts (11), and muffler assembly (10).

Loosen nuts (14).Remove nuts (15) and U-bolts (12). Separate bracket assembly (13) from muffler assembly (10).Installation Procedure
Install muffler assembly (10) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten nuts (14) to a torque of 35 7 N.m (26 5 lb ft).
Tighten nuts (15) to a torque of 15 3 N.m (133 27 lb in).Note: Larger diameter side of clamp (6) is for female pipe and the smaller diameter side is for male pipe.
Apply Tooling (A) to the outer diameter of male pipe end of clamp (6). Tighten clamp (6) to a torque of 68 12 N.m (50 9 lb ft).Note: Make sure that clamp (3) is aligned to the edge of tube assembly (2).
Tighten clamp (3) to a torque of 68 4 N.m (50 3 lb ft).
