Parking Brake
Do not engage the parking brake while the machine is moving unless the primary service brake fails. The use of the parking brake as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the brake system.
Parking Brake - The parking brake lever is located by the operator seat on the left side of the cab. The parking brake is to be used after the machine has been stopped. Parking Brake Engaged - Pull the lever to the rear of the cab to engage the parking brake. Parking Brake Disengaged - Move the lever to the front of the cab to release the parking brake. Secondary Brake - The secondary brake uses the same lever as the parking brake. The secondary brake is to be used if the service brakes fail to stop the machine.Brake Pedals
Left Brake Pedal (1) - The left brake pedal disengages the transmission and brakes the machine. This permits higher engine speed for better hydraulic response.Depress the left brake pedal when positioning and raising the bucket at the same time.Release the pedal to re-engage the transmission and to release the brake. Right Brake Pedal (2) - The right brake pedal slows down the machine ground speed for normal braking.Depress the right brake pedal for normal machine braking.Depressing the right brake pedal will disengage the governor throttle lock control.Release the pedal to release the brake.Accelerator Pedal
Accelerator Pedal - The accelerator pedal is located on the floor of the operator's station, at the right.Push down the pedal to increase travel speed.Release the pedal to decrease travel speed.Throttle Lock Switch
The throttle lock switch is located on the right side console by the hydraulic levers.The throttle lock switch is a three position switch.Move the switch to position (1) to turn the switch to the OFF position.Move the switch to position (2) to turn the switch to the ON position.Move the switch to position (3) to the momentary engage position. The engine will go to high idle. The switch will return to position (2) when released.Press the right brake pedal to disengage the throttle lock and return the engine to low idle or move the switch to the OFF position (1).Engine Prelub System
To operate, turn vehicle start switch to ON position. Depress and HOLD Prelub start switch to activate engine prelube and start cycle. When adequate oil pressure is available Prelub will stop cycling, delay for 2 seconds, then will AUTOMATICALLY crank engine to start. After engine is running, release prelube switch. Prelub does not change the keystart system. Do NOT activate Prelub while engine is running.Engine Secondary Stop Handle
Engine Stop Handle - Pull the handle out to stop the engine. After the engine stops, push the handle in. Use only in emergencies. Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position. The engine stop handle does not shut off the machines electrical system.Turn Signal/Hazard Lights
Turn Signal/Hazard Light Switch - Move the lever up to position (1) for a left turn. Position (2) the lights are
