(6) Tank breather filter Hydraulic tank (1) is mounted to the frame on the left-hand side of the machine. Hydraulic tank (1) supplies oil to the hoist system, brake system, steering system, blower fan, radiator fan, and the final drive lubrication system. Located on the front of Hydraulic tank (1) are upper sight glass (2), lower sight glass (3), low-level sensor (4), and temperature sensor (5). The tank breather (6) is located on the top of hydraulic tank (1).Upper sight glass (2) is used for checking the oil level with the engine stopped and the accumulators drained. The truck body should be in the DOWN position. Use sight glass (3) to check the oil level in the hydraulic tank with the engine running and the body down. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Tank Oil Level - Check" for further information.
Illustration 2 g03671462Hydraulic tank fill hose (7) is located on the bottom of the hydraulic tank. Fill hose (7) is connected to the fast fill service center. Located on the inside of hydraulic tank (1) is return diffuser (8) and suction strainer (9). Shut-off valve (10) is located between suction manifold (11) and the tank. Check valve (13) is located between return manifold (12) and the tank.Tank Ports
