The axle oil cooler pump and motor (6) are located under the hydraulic oil cooler.Oil flows into the axle oil cooler pump and motor (6) through line (5) from the oil in the braking and hydraulic fan system. The oil flows from the axle oil cooler pump and motor to the hydraulic oil cooler through line (7).

The axle oil cooler pump and motor (6) circulates the oil in the rear axle (1) through axle oil cooler (8). The axle oil cooler is located under the hydraulic oil cooler. The radiator provides a flow of coolant around the core of the axle oil cooler. The flow of coolant removes heat from the axle oil. The flow of the axle oil through the axle oil cooler helps keep the axle housings and internal brake components cool.

Screen (2) is located on the rear axle. Screen (2) is installed in order to trap large particles of debris that may enter the system. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7645, "Axle Oil Cooler Screen - Clean/Replace" for service information.

Pressure switch (3) is located on the right side of the engine near the electrical disconnect switch. When pressure switch (3) detects a low pressure in the axle oil cooler system, an indicator on the dash panel will be illuminated. The deactuation pressure is 70 20 kPa (10 3 psi).Pressure tap (4) is available in order to obtain a pressure reading from the axle oil cooler system. Normal pressure is approximately 517 172 kPa (75 25 psi) at low idle.
