Connection Procedure
Personal injury or death can result from machine articulation or movement.Machine frames can move and a person can be crushed.Connect the steering frame lock link between the front and rear frames before working on machine. Secure clevis pin with locking pin.Before operating the machine, fasten the steering frame lock link into the stored position and secure the clevis pin with locking pin.Failure to lock into the stored position before operating can result in loss of steering.
Move the machine to a hard, level surface. Park the machine in the straight ahead position and engage the parking brake.

Remove cotter pin (3) from pin (2).
Remove pin (2) from the front frame and steering frame lock (1).

Move steering frame lock (1) in position to the rear frame. Install pin (2) and cotter pin (3). The weight of steering frame lock (1) is approximately 31 kg (69 lb). Note: To align the pin bores, move the front frame.Separation Procedure

Remove cotter pin (3). Remove pin (2) from the rear frame and steering frame lock (1).

Move steering frame lock (1) to the storage position. The weight of steering frame lock (1) is approximately 31 kg (69 lb).
Install pin (2) to the front frame and steering frame lock (1). Install cotter pin (3).
