Location of the ejector sequence valveThe ejector sequence valve is a direct acting valve that assists in the control and operation of the ejector body. The ejector sequence valve works in conjunction with the tailgate sequence valve to control the movement of the tailgate cylinders in relation to the ejector cylinders. When the hoist control valve is moved to the EJECT position, oil will be directed to the tailgate cylinders to lower the tailgate fully.Only after the tailgate is fully lowered will oil be directed to the ejector cylinders to move the ejector plate and eject the load. This prevents damage to the tailgate.When the hoist control valve is moved to the RETRACT position, oil is first directed to the ejector cylinders to retract the ejector plate. When the ejector plate has retracted, oil will be directed to the tailgate cylinders to raise the tailgate.For information on adjusting the ejector sequence valve, refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Sequence Valve (Ejector)" for the machine that is being serviced.
