Procedure to Replace Relief Valve Manifold Mounting Plate
1. Remove relief valve manifold from ripper plate assembly.2. Remove the valve mounting plate from the ripper plate assembly by cutting the factory welds and grind smooth. Be careful not to cut the outside of the plate unnecessarily, as this plate is used as a pattern.
Illustration 1 3. Use the old plate as a pattern to cut the new plate to shape from SAE 1024 steel with a minimum 42,000 psi yield strength, 20.0 mm (.787 in) thick. Locate and drill holes in the plate from the dimensions shown in Illustration 1.
Illustration 24. Locate the new plate on the ripper plate assembly with the dimensions from Illustration 2 and weld in place.5. Install the relief valve manifold to the new plate with four 8T9389 Bolts, four 1K4649 Spacers, and four 8M9143 Washers.
