IF PARKING THE MACHINE, LOWER THE MAINFRAME EVENLY UNTIL THE CUTTER IS RESTING ON THE GROUND. IN FREEZING WEATHER PLACE BOARDS BETWEEN THE GROUND AND THE TRACKS SO THEY WILL NOT FREEZE TO THE GROUND.
1. Set the travel, cutter and conveyor controls at "N" or "Off" and lock the cutter control in position.2. Lower the mainframe evenly until the cutter is resting on the ground.3. Set the emergency and parking brake control at "Apply".4. Run the engine at half speed or slower for about 5 minutes to cool the engine.5. Move the throttle lever to "Decr." position.6. Move the ignition key switch to "Off".
THE OPERATOR SHOULD ALWAYS SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN, AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, BEFORE LEAVING THE MACHINE.
