Location of tapped holes in slide adjustment.The 4-13535 Overhung Load Adapter (part no. has not changed) has been improved. The shaft length has been shortened by 13mm (.5") to prevent the drive shaft from coming into contact with the shaft of the overhung load adapter. This will help eliminate bearing thrust load on the overhung load adapter.
Auxiliary Front Cutter Assembly (Improved Joints Between Main Frame and Cutter Housing; Improved Retention of Hydraulic Motor)
New 1-1386 Pins are used in place of the former 9-229 Pins at the hinge points between the main frame and the cutter housing. The longer pin permits the use of two 8T4472 Washers at each end of the pin. The new pin uses a new 1-1387 Keeper at each end instead of the former A01540 Cotter Pin. These new parts provide better pin retention. The new parts, when used together, are direct replacements for the former parts. Group number 540-2404 consists of one 1-1386 Pin, two 1-1387 Keepers and two 8T4472 Washers.
New, hardened A02943 Flatwashers are used in place of the former A00236 Flatwashers to fasten the 2-5441 Hydraulic Motor to the cutter housing. The hardened washers will provide better retention of the mounting bolts.
Left Front Wheel Assembly (Improved Joint Between Hydraulic Motor and Brake Assembly; New Pins Used In Steering Arms)
A new 57-642 Gasket is used in place of the former A02005 O-ring between the 2-5454 Hydraulic Motor and the brake assembly. New, hardened A02943 Flatwashers are used in place of the former 3B4510 Lockwashers for fastening this motor to the brake assembly. These improvements will help prevent leakage at this joint.
New pins are used in the extension arms of the steering cylinders and in the steering arms. The new pins and retainers are now two separate pieces to prevent side loading of the retainer mounting bolts. The new parts shown in Chart A, when used together, are direct replacements for the former parts. The new parts may be obtained by ordering 504-723 Pin Group. Two groups are required per machine.
Right Front Wheel Assembly (New Pins Used In Steering Arms)
New pins are used in the steering arms. The new pins and retainers are now two separate pieces to prevent side loading of the retainer mounting bolts. The new parts shown in Chart B, when used together, are direct replacements for the former parts. The new parts may be obtained by ordering 504-724 Pin Group. Two groups are required per machine.
