Procedure to Monitor the Transmission Output Speed on Machines that are not Equipped with a Tachograph

If necessary, replace the existing EPTC II with 199-9847 Power Train Electronic Control Module or with a later version.
Crimp 7N-7779 Connector Socket (1) and 8N-1539 Connection Socket (2) onto the ends of Electrical Wire (3) .
Insert the wire end that has 7N-7779 Connector Socket into position 2 of 9G-3676 Receptacle Housing (4) .
Use six 8T-8737 Seal Plugs (5) to plug the remaining openings in the receptacle.
Insert the 9G-3676 Receptacle Housing (4) into the connector for the tachograph.

Route electrical wire (3). See Illustration 1. Use the 7K-1181 Cable Straps (6) as required.

If necessary, replace the existing EPTC II with 199-9847 Power Train Electronic Control Module or with a later version.
Crimp 7N-7779 Connector Socket (1) onto the ends of seven wires (2) .
Crimp one 7N-7780 Connector Pin (3) to one end of each of the seven wires (2) .
Use an approved method to splice the end of wire (4) to the middle of one of the segments. Crimp one 7N-7779 Connector Socket (1) to the other end of wire (4) .
Create a T-harness by inserting the seven wires into 9G-3676 Receptacle Housing (5) and into 9G-3670 Plug Housing (6). Ensure that the spliced wire is at position 2.
Insert the T-harness between the main harness of the cab and the lead for the tachograph.

Route the wire (4). See Illustration 3. Use the 7K-1181 Cable Straps as required.
