Fan speed is less than 38 rpm, or fan speed is greater than 2000 rpm for 1.9 seconds.
The engine speed is between low idle and 2400 rpm for one minute.
263-03 "Digital Sensor Supply short to +batt" is not active.
263-04 "Digital Sensor Supply short to ground" is not active.
The ECM has been powered for at least three seconds.System Response:The ECM will log the diagnostic code. The diagnostic code may be viewed on a display module or on Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET). The ECM flags fan speed as invalid data. The fan control solenoid is operated only by the strategy for the temperature.

Connect Cat ET to the service tool connector.
Change the parameter for "Engine Fan Control" to "Disabled".
