Close the jaw of the shear.
Curl shear under boom and place on the ground.
Turn off the engine of the host machine. Release the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to the "Service Manual" of the host machine for the proper procedure to release the hydraulic pressure.
Clean the fittings with a clean rag before you lubricate the fittings in order to prevent contamination. Replace any broken fittings.
Lubricate all grease fittings. The main pin has 3 fittings. The cylinder pins have 2 fittings. The linkage pins have 2-3 fittings. The rotate gear has 2-4 fittings. Lubricate until fresh grease is visible.
