COVER GP-AIR INLET 3166943 - Caterpillar

1. Loosen cylinder retaining clamp (1). Unscrew and remove empty ether cylinder (3), the used gasket, and the dirt collar from ether valve assembly (7).2. Disconnect ether valve assembly wiring harness (4) at the electrical connection.3. Disconnect hose assembly (6) and the ether filter assembly from ether valve assembly (7).4. Remove four bolts (5), the hard washers, and ether starting aid (2) from the enclosure assembly. The following steps are for the installation of the ether starting aid. 5. Put ether starting aid (2) in position on the enclosure. Install four bolts (5) and the hard washers.6. Connect hose assembly (6) and the new ether filter assembly to ether valve assembly (7).7. Connect ether valve assembly wiring harness (4) at the electrical connection.8. Install the new gasket and dirt collar, provided with the new cylinder to ether valve assembly (7). Install new cylinder (3). Tighten cylinder (3) hand tight. Tighten cylinder retaining clamp (1).
