Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin. Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
1. The torque converter output speed sensor is located behind right hand door assemblies (1) and (2).
Located next to lower drive shaft2. Disconnect wire harness (3) at the electrical connection. Remove torque converter output speed sensor (5) and the O-ring seal from torque converter (4). The following steps are for the installation of the sensor (torque converter output speed).3. Make sure all components of the torque converter output speed sensor are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation.4. Check all components for wear or damage and replace if necessary.5. Install the O-ring seal and torque converter output speed sensor (5) to torque converter (4). Tighten torque converter output speed sensor (5) to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).6. Connect wire harness (3) at the electrical connection.
