Rotor can shift if the drum and hood are not properly lowered and the machine is not properly blocked. Personal injury or death can result. Be sure that no pressure exists on the rotor lift cylinders prior to removal.
1. Before performing the removal and installation of the rotor lift cylinders complete the following: * Lower rotor drum to the ground.* Apply parking brakes.* Chock wheels. Identify all hydraulic lines as they are removed for reinstallation purposes. Cap and plug all lines and fittings to prevent any contaminants from entering the system.2. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by slowly loosening the fill cap located on the top of the hydraulic oil tank.3. Disconnect hoses (3).4. Remove pin (6) at rod end clevis (5).5. Support cylinder (4) as necessary.6. Remove pin (1) at head end clevis (2).7. Remove cylinder (4) from the mounting clevises and move cylinder (4) away, If removing an outboard rotor lift cylinder, the head end clevis will have to be lowered out of the bracket to remove the cylinder.8. Move replacement cylinder (4) into position between the clevises.9. Install pin (1) at head end clevis (2) then pin (6) at rod end clevis (5).10. Thoroughly clean around hose (3) ends and the cylinder ports, then connect hoses (3) to cylinder (4) ports.
