Push down on service brake pedal (1) in order to prevent the machine from moving.
Raise all attachments enough to clear any unexpected obstacles.
Pull parking brake lever (3) upward in order to disengage the parking brake and unlock transmission control lever (2) .
Move transmission control lever (2) to the desired direction and speed. Release brake pedal (1) in order to release the brakes and allow the machine to move.
Move governor control lever (4) to the desired engine speed.
Drive the machine forward for best visibility and for control.Changing Direction and Speed
With a power shift transmission, speed and directional changes at full engine speed are possible . When the operator is changing directions, decelerating and/or braking is recommended for operator comfort. This will also ensure the maximum service life of the transmission components.

Decrease the engine speed by pushing in on governor control (4) . Decrease the engine speed by pushing in on the decelerator pedal (5) .
Stop the machine by pushing down on brake pedal (1) .

Top view
Move transmission control lever (2) to NEUTRAL. Then move the lever to the desired direction.

Forward
Reverse
First Gear
Second Gear
Third Gear
Move transmission control lever (2) to the desired speed.
Release brake pedal (1) .
Increase the engine speed by releasing decelerator (5) or by pulling back on governor control lever (4) .Normal Steering

Pull right steering clutch lever (7) toward the detent in order to make a gradual right turn. Pull the right steering clutch lever until you feel slight pressure. This will release the right steering clutch that steers the machine to the right.Pull right steering clutch lever (7) against the stop in order to make a sharp right turn. This applies the right brake.Pull left steering clutch lever (6) toward the detent in order to make a gradual left turn. Pull the left steering clutch lever until you feel slight pressure. This will release the left steering clutch that steers the machine to the left.Pull left steering clutch lever (6) against the stop in order to make a sharp left turn. This applies the left brake.Note: When the machine is under load, use the bulldozer blade tilt lever in order to aid steering. This technique allows full power to be maintained against the load.Steering on a Steep Downgrade
Cross steering is a gradual turn that is made on a steep downgrade. The turn includes declutching without braking.To make a gradual right turn, pull back left steering clutch lever (6) (cross steering) to the detent. This releases the left steering clutch.To make a sharp right turn, pull back the right steering clutch lever (7) against the stop. This applies the right brake (normal steering). To make a gradual left turn, pull back right steering clutch lever (7) (cross steering) to the detent. This releases the right steering clutch.To make a sharp left turn, pull back the left steering clutch lever (6) against the stop. This applies the left brake (normal steering).
