Use the following procedure in order to change the number of speeds that are increased or decreased when you activate the programmable upshift/downshift switch:
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
Move the transmission control lever to the REVERSE position. Next, hold the lever to the left.
While you continue to hold the lever to the left, turn the engine start switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine. After 3 seconds, the central display will show an "U-d". The "U-d" indicates that the programming mode has been accessed. Release the lever. Do not push the lever forward to the NEUTRAL position.
In order to program the upshift, move the lever to the right while you hold the lever for 3 seconds. Release the lever when the display shows the up arrow and a number. The number indicates the amount of speeds that will be upshifted. Move the lever to the right or left in order to select the number of speeds that will be upshifted. Selecting a "0" cancels the programmable upshift. Return the lever to the NEUTRAL in order to store the new setting and display "U-d".
In order to program the downshift, move the lever to the REVERSE position while you hold the lever to the left for 3 seconds. Release the lever when the display shows a down arrow and a number. The number indicates the amount of speeds that will be downshifted. Move the lever to the right or left in order to select the number of speeds that will be downshifted. Selecting a "0" cancels the programmable downshift. Return the lever to NEUTRAL position in order to store the new setting.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position in order to exit the programming. Make sure that you wait for a period of ten seconds before you restart the engine.
