583H, 583K PipelayersReference: (IRM), UC89-17, Form PELE0126, "D342 Welded Crankshaft."When ordering OR1225 or OR1226 (.025" undersize) Crankshaft, the crankshaft that is received may be welded. If it is necessary to weld all journals in the remanufacturing process, the crankshaft will then be ground to standard journal diameter. If, however, not all journals require weld repair, the crankshaft will be ground to .025" undersize. "STD" or "025" will be stamped on the crankshaft counterweight.
Be sure to note the journal size so the correct bearings are installed with the crankshaft.There will NOT be a part number distinction between welded and non-welded crankshafts.
