(4) Disconnect wiring harness (19) from each taillight (20). Remove taillights (20), bracket (21) and wiring harnesses (19). Remove two bolts (22) from each side of the bumper; these bolts will not be needed again. (5) Put spacer (23) through the large holes in bracket (24). Assemble bracket (24) in bracket (25) and install 1D4620 Bolt (26) in the upper hole where the bumper bolts were removed. Install another 1D4620 Bolt and spacer in the lower hole in bracket (25). Install bolts (27). Install plate (28) with the former taillight bracket hardware. (6) Install former taillights (20) and 6S7140 Turn Signal Lamp Assemblies (29). Install 5G2180 Harness Assembly (30) (right side). Connect dark blue/brown wire (31) to the turn signal lamp. Connect dark blue/yellow wire (32) to the "T" terminal and connect dark blue/tan wire (33) to the "S" terminal on the right taillight. Install 5G2124 Harness Assembly (34) (left side). Connect dark blue/black wire (35) to the left turn signal lamp. Connect dark blue/yellow wire (36) to the "T" terminal and connect dark blue/tan wire (37) to the "S" terminal on the left taillight. Install plate (38) on the front side of each stop light group. Connect wiring harnesses (30) and (34) to to their respective terminals on the machine wiring harness. Install the clips and hardware to hold the wiring harnesses. Adjust the clips and wire to permit movement from the fully retracted (upper) position to the operation (down) position of the brackets. (7) Install turn signal switch (39) on the steering column at the dimension shown. Install plate (40) over wiring harness (41). Remove the screws that hold panel (42) to the dash. Pull the panel away from the dash. Remove plug (43) from panel (42). (8) Install 3K9520 Grommet (44) in the opening in the dash. Put the wires from the turn signal assembly in position through grommet (44) and install clip (45). Connect 6S7135 Switch Assembly (46), 6S7136 Flasher (47) and the wires from the turn signal switch to the respective receptacles of the existing dash wiring harness. Install the panel on the dash. Install 5P1056 Film (Decal) on the dash at location (B). (9) Remove negative cable (48) from the machine. Install plate (49) with one bolt (50). Fasten cable assembly (51) to the other hole in plate (49). Install plate (52) and switch assembly (53). Connect cable (51) and battery cable (54) to switch (52) as shown. Connect cable (54) to the negative post of the battery. Some machines may already be equipped with a disconnect switch.Special Lighting Arrangements
(1) Remove the rear bolt from the plate on the left side over the bumper. Put bracket (1) in position and install bolt (2) and the washer. Put 3L9689 spacer (3) behind bracket (1) at the top hole and install the bolt and washer. Install lamp assembly (4) and wire (5) (dark blue/yellow). Connect wire (5) to the existing receptacle on the machine wiring harness and to the wire on lamp (4).
