( 1 ) The following requirements must be met in order to use this chart: (A). Use of recommended lubricants. Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fluid Recommendations" for information about preferred fluids. (B). S O S Oil analysis is taken at 16100 km (10000 miles) intervals and all oil change intervals. The oil analysis must evaluate oil condition and wear metals. Cat Services S O S Oil Analysis is preferred. (C). Use premium oil filters. Cat 1R-0716 Oil Filter or an oil filter with equivalent performance and durability is recommended.
( 2 ) Oil equals the total of the following items: Sump oil , capacity of oil filters and oil that is added between changes.
