Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the transmission charging pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Transmission Charging) - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.
Failure to properly assemble parts or failure to follow established procedures can lead to damage of the parts and assembly.To avoid damage to parts, always identify and mark the parts so that they can be installed in the same location. Ensure that gear surfaces align. Never force parts during assembly.
For assembly purposes put an alignment mark across the manifold, body and cover of the transmission charging pump prior to disassembly.

Remove six bolts (1).

Remove cover assembly (2).

Remove two bearings (3) and O-ring seal (4) from the cover assembly.

Remove gear assemblies (5) and (6).
Remove body assembly (8) from manifold assembly (9).
Remove four dowels (7) from body assembly (8).

Remove two bearings (10) and O-ring seal (11) from manifold assembly (9).
