Installation Procedure

A - Cat Advanced 3 Moly Grease -
B - Loctite 7649 -
C - Loctite 263 - Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Lubricate adapter (9) with Tooling (A) prior to installation.
Install adapter (9) to the steering, pilot, and braking pump.

Install O-ring seal (8) to transmission charging pump (5).

Install transmission charging pump (5) to the steering, pilot, and braking pump.
Apply Tooling (B) and then apply Tooling (C) to bolts (7) prior to installation.
Install two bolts (7) to transmission charging pump (5).

Connect hose assemblies (4) and (6) to transmission charging pump (5).

Install tube assembly (2) and four bolts (3).
Tighten two hose clamps (1).
Fill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank for the machine that is being serviced. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Tank Oil - Change" for the correct filling procedure.
Fill the transmission with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil Level - Check". End By:
Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
